Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will perform duties including:
- Maintaining network and communication infrastructure supporting Allied Maritime Command and the UK;
- Managing databases, spreadsheets, and drawings for configuration management at CSU Northwood;
- Asset management audits of assigned systems;
- Diagnosing and resolving physical and logical network issues;
- Traveling overseas for installation and setup of TACSAT, SEMARCOMM+/SEMAR CIS, and connectivity for BI-SC kits as directed;
- Supporting maintenance of NATO COMMCEN ICT infrastructure, including HF & VLF systems and Cornet matrix switches;
- Supporting project planning and implementation;
- Monitoring ICT platform performance and providing reports;
- Installing, operating, and maintaining ICT platforms;
- Supporting IT service continuity, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans;
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders;
- Responding to ITSM tickets and performing system maintenance;
- Staying updated on technological developments;
- Investigating and resolving technical issues proactively;
- Advising superiors and recommending solutions;
- Working independently with limited supervision;
- Deputizing for higher-grade staff when required;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Active NATO SECRET security clearance;
- Higher vocational training with 2+ years or secondary education with 4+ years post-related experience;
- Experience with NATO or NCI Agency, familiar with organizational concepts like Enterprise Service Delivery;
- ITIL Foundation certification;
- CISCO Certified Network Associate or equivalent certifications;
- At least 2 years of experience in network routing and switching, with knowledge in satellite radio, terrestrial radio, or media delivery systems.
Desirable Experience and Education:
- Experience with Harris Radio 117F/117G, GGR Cornet Matrix, VTC & AV systems, SEMARCOMM+ / SEMARCIS, INMARSAT systems, IPTV/Digital signage;
- Experience working in international military and civilian environments;
- Knowledge of NATO organizations and responsibilities.
