Job description

Role - C# / WPF / WCF / Winform Developer

Duration: 6 months with likely extension

Location: Remote / Canary Wharf

Responsibilities:
  • Developing applications using C#, WPF, WinForms, WCF, and SQL databases (Oracle and SQL Server).
  • Understanding business requirements, designing application structures, and analyzing business data.
  • Programming WPF applications in Visual C#.NET and supporting existing WinForms applications.
  • Testing applications with users and supporting deployment through Development, QA, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments.
  • Creating operational documentation, including user manuals.
  • Supporting systems written in other languages such as MS VBA, MS VB, and Excel Macros.
Additional Tasks:
  • Defining database objects and liaising with Database Administrators in London and New York.
  • Providing scripts for data analysis using T-SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Setting up system distribution via Citrix and application servers.
  • Troubleshooting system failures related to Windows OS, IIS, and other environments.
  • Collaborating with support teams including Development, Technical Support, Network, Infrastructure, and DBA.
  • Updating MS .NET Framework and Visual Studio platforms, maintaining version control.
  • Assessing data processing loads and optimizing database performance.
  • Coordinating application releases and maintaining change history.
