Job summary

Client Server is seeking a C# Software Engineer / Team Lead in Bracknell with hybrid WFH flexibility. Lead a squad, own architecture, API design and production operations while staying hands-on. You will mentor engineers and drive improvements with modern tooling and AI-enabled workflows.

The role focuses on distributed systems, microservices, and frontend experience with Vue.js/React/Angular, plus SQL and AWS expertise. Ideal for a senior engineer eager to lead and grow the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong backend development with C#/.NET or similar OO language.
• Extensive system design experience, microservices and distributed systems.
• Frontend exposure with Vue.js, React or modern Angular.
• Solid SQL skills and relational databases knowledge.
• Production AWS experience including SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda.
• Ownership of CI/CD and release processes (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with AI tools for code and workflow improvements.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in payments/FX or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead your squad across architecture, development, delivery and production ops.
• Write production code and tackle technically complex problems.
• Own system design, API design, technical decisions and code quality.
• Partner with Product Managers on roadmaps and priorities.
• Mentor engineers, conduct 1-2-1s and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote AI-adoption and modern coding tools within the lifecycle.
