Job summary

Client Server is seeking a C# Software Engineer / Team Lead in Bracknell, with hybrid WFH options. You will guide a squad in architecture, development, and production operations while remaining hands-on, delivering complex solutions and owning design decisions.

Strong AWS, CI/CD, and AI tooling experience are essential for driving modern practices. You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps with Product Managers, and help grow the team’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a software engineering team
• Strong backend development with C# .Net (other OO languages considered)
• System design experience, distributed systems & microservices
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, React or modern Angular
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Production experience with AWS (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda)
• Experience owning CI/CD & release processes (GitHub Actions)
• Hands-on with AI agentic tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
• Collaborative, pragmatic with strong communication to engineers and stakeholders
• Payments/FX or regulated industry background beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead Squad across architecture, development, delivery and production operations while remaining hands-on
• Own system architecture, API design, technical decisions and code quality
• Mentor engineers with 1-2-1s and feedback; drive continuous improvement
• Champion AI adoption and modern techniques across the SDLC
• Collaborate with Product Managers on roadmaps and priorities
• Lead from the front with technical ownership and delivery leadership
