Job summary

Client Server Limited in London is seeking a senior C++ Software Engineer to redevelop a core equity trading system for the EMEA market. You’ll work primarily on the backend using C++17/20 on Linux, delivering high-volume, data‑driven solutions with a touch of low-latency work.

This Front Office role provides direct exposure to traders and ownership from design to delivery, with a London base and one day per week from home.

C++ Software Engineer / Developer London to £125k

Are you a backend focussed C++ Software Engineer with Front Office trading systems experience?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on C++ Software Engineer role at the Investment Management arm of a global bank.

As a C++ Software Engineer you'll focus on the redevelopment and customisation of a core equity trading system for the EMEA market.

You'll work primarily on the backend using C++17 / C++20 on Linux, building and enhancing large, complex, data intensive systems. There is an element of low-latency development, but the role also involves solving challenging problems around high-volume data and performance at scale.

This is a genuinely Front Office role, giving you direct exposure to traders and ownership of projects from initial design through to delivery. You'll understand trading requirements, make technical decisions and build robust solutions that have a direct impact on the desk.

Location:

You'll be based in the London, City office with flexibility to work from home once a week.

About you:

• You have strong C++ backend development experience


• You have experience of working with traders in Front Office trading environments


• You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• You have a strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures


• You're degree educated in Computer Science or similar STEM disciplines
