C++ Software Engineer (12 month contract)

• Location: Broughton, onsite role
• Initial 12 month contract

Are you interested in developing real-time embedded software for a cutting-edge defence and aerospace project in the UK? If you are excited about developing software for the European Common Radar System (ECRS), we want to hear from you!

We are seeking experienced C++ Software Engineers to join our established software community as the Radar programs grow and develop complex functionalities.

Responsibilities of a C++ Software Engineer include:

• Utilising UML modelling and C++ to develop new capabilities and maintain existing features within IBM Engineering Rhapsody
• Collaborating with systems and hardware engineers to deploy software on multi-core or distributed hardware platforms
• Adhering to airborne software design standards RTCA DO-178C and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++

Desired experience includes:

• Industry experience across the full software lifecycle
• Experience in C++ development
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques
• Experience working with agile methodologies like Scrum and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or Gitlab
