Job summary

Oliver Bernard are working with a leading global financial services organisation looking to hire a Software Engineer to join its established engineering team.

This is a hands-on software engineering role for someone with strong C#/.NET development experience who enjoys building applications and solutions from scratch, while also having an interest in infrastructure, automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial C#/.NET development experience.
• Ability to design, build and develop applications from scratch.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and clean, maintainable code.
• Some experience or exposure to infrastructure, automation or Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal applications, services and tooling using C# and .NET.
• Build software solutions and integrations from scratch, focusing on quality, scalability and reusability.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations across a range of enterprise technologies.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Work with technologies such as Ansible and PowerShell to streamline infrastructure processes.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with wider engineering and infrastructure teams to identify challenges and develop effective technical solutions.
• Take ownership of existing applications while contributing to new development projects.
