Job summary

Alexander Ash Consulting is recruiting a C++ / Java Software Engineer for a leading banking client in London. You will design, implement and maintain high-performance, low-latency systems within a complex financial services environment, ensuring reliability and scalability.

You will collaborate with architects, product teams and other engineers in an Agile setting, applying object-oriented design, multithreading and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with C++ and Java.
• Experience developing high-performance, low-latency or enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency and distributed systems.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Exposure to Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices is desirable.
• Experience within banking or financial services, ideally within trading, risk, markets or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong experience with unit testing, CI/CD and Agile development.

Our banking client is looking for an experienced C++ / Java Software Engineer to join their technology team, developing and enhancing high-performance, business-critical systems within a complex financial services environment.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, designing, developing and maintaining robust applications using C++ and Java, while collaborating with architects, product teams and other engineers in an Agile environment.
