Job description

Rainbow Bedfordshire Events C.I.C is seeking a Treasurer to join our board.

Commitment: The board meets monthly and it is anticipated the role will require a commitment of up to 2 hours a week.

This is an unpaid role. Reasonable travel expenses to and from in-person meetings will be reimbursed. The expenses policy will be supplied as part of induction.

Key Responsibilities – TREASURER

The Treasurer’s role is to oversee the financial affairs of the group. They must be willing and able to:

  • Keep accurate, up-to-date financial records.
  • Produce end-of-year accounts.
  • Check bank statements and reconcile with invoices and income/expenditure.
  • Ensure that bills are paid promptly and all income is banked on a regular basis.
  • Report regularly to the committee on the financial situation.
  • Report to the Annual General Meeting on the end-of-year accounts.
  • Maintain confidentiality about all sensitive/confidential information.
  • Use and contribute any specific knowledge or experience.
