Job summary

The Crown & Garter, part of Honesty Group, is seeking a friendly Front of House Assistant to work mainly in the pub/restaurant with some support in the coffee shop. You will help deliver great service and create a welcoming experience for every guest.

We offer a secure employment contract, full training, a free meal on duty, staff discounts, and opportunities for progression within the group. Training will cover all aspects to ensure excellent hospitality delivery.

Qualifications

• Friendly, reliable and customer-focused.
• Comfortable in a busy, hands-on front-of-house role.
• Happy supporting both pub/restaurant and coffee shop service.
• Previous hospitality experience helpful but not essential (full training provided)

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in the pub/restaurant and coffee shop.
• Prepare food and drinks in line with food safety standards.
• Open/close as a keyholder and help set up for service.
• Take deliveries, rotate stock and complete temperature checks.
• Answer phone enquiries and take orders.
• Clear and reset tables, polish cutlery and keep service areas tidy.
• Support end-of-day tasks (cleaning, waste logs, cashing up, lock up)
