Job summary

Saragossa is seeking a front office software developer to build trading-focused applications used by traders and analysts in real time. You will own end-to-end delivery from analysis and design through development and release to post-deployment support, in a flat, collaborative team.

You will apply solid C# skills and strong SQL/database knowledge (Oracle/SQL Server) to translate commercial needs into practical software for power, gas, LNG, LPG, oil and environmental products.

Qualifications

• Solid C# skills and good coding discipline.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, especially Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience in energy trading, investment banking or a leading software house is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the work end to end, from analysis and design through development and release to post-deployment support.
• Work closely with traders and analysts to translate commercial needs into software solutions.

This is a front office development role at an energy trading house covering power, gas, LNG, LPG, oil and environmental products. The business supports market access, asset optimisation, supply and logistics, and risk management. It is a broad and genuinely interesting commercial environment.

You own your work end to end. That means getting involved from the initial analysis and design, through development and release, all the way to post-deployment support. Nothing gets handed off and forgotten.

The team is flat and collaborative. You will work closely with traders and analysts, translating commercial needs into software that actually solves problems. Your work is visible and your input is valued.

You will get exposure to AI tooling and evolving technologies as the business continues to develop its platform.

When it comes to what you bring, you have solid C# skills and good coding discipline. You understand relational databases well, ideally Oracle or SQL Server. There's no requirement to come from finance so there's genuine scope for growth.

You have built that understanding working in an energy trading house, investment bank or leading software house.
