Luxoft is partnering with a leading global financial market data provider to deliver cutting-edge software that powers real-time financial markets worldwide. We are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer with deep Linux expertise to build high-performance backend systems in a real-time, low-latency environment in Greater London.

This role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining backend services in C++, producing technical specifications, and driving code quality with robust unit tests

Qualifications

• Strong hands on C++ development experience.
• Experience building backend systems and distributed services.
• Knowledge of Docker containerisation technologies.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies and release management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend software and services in C++.
• Produce technical design documentation and functional specifications.
• Provide effort estimates and contribute to project planning.
• Identify, prioritise and execute development tasks throughout the software lifecycle.
• Develop robust unit tests and ensure high code quality standards.
• Automate development and operational processes using scripting and tooling.
• Perform validation, verification and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Operations and other engineering teams.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to continuously enhance platform capabilities.
• Ensure solutions remain aligned with modern engineering standards and best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend software and services in C++
