Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking an experienced C++ Developer to join a team building proprietary private cloud infrastructure in London. You will work on storage systems and data platforms at scale, developing high-performance, scalable software for internal use across technology and investment teams.

The role requires strong experience in C++, distributed systems, and multithreading, with opportunities to utilize Rust or Python backgrounds.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in software development.
• 3+ years' experience developing in C++, with consideration for candidates with strong Rust or Python backgrounds.
• Experience building microservices and/or asynchronous, multithreaded applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and architecture.
• A Computer Science or STEM degree.

Oliver Bernard are partnered with a leading global hedge fund looking to hire an experienced C++ Developer into a team responsible for building proprietary private cloud infrastructure.

The team develops the internal tooling, frameworks and developer platforms that power technology and investment teams across the business. The focus is on storage, internal databases and large-scale data platforms, building high-performance systems that improve reliability, scalability and engineering productivity.

This is an opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges within a high-performance environment, with direct exposure to technology that underpins the wider business.

What we're looking for
