Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced C++ Developer to join a leading technology organisation in Manchester. You will work in an Agile Scrum team delivering high-performance software and security-related capabilities.

You will develop with modern C++ standards, be exposed to Linux build systems and networking technologies, and collaborate with international customers and colleagues while keeping your skills current.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing software in C++
• Modern C++ standards, performance-focused development and concurrency techniques
• Linux development with build systems, tools, compilers, kernel and drivers
• Networking and DPI knowledge
• TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, tunnelling protocols (GTP, MPLS, L2TP)
• Experience with Python, Ruby, Puppet, Bash
• Experience with Agile Scrum environments and Jira
• Remote diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve continuously
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance advanced software products and capabilities
• Work with modern C++ standards, third-party and open-source software
• Develop high-performance software using concurrency techniques
• Work within a Linux development environment, including build systems, compilers, tools, kernel and drivers
• Work with computer networking and deep packet inspection technologies
• Support and troubleshoot deployed systems remotely
• Work as part of a high-performing Agile Scrum team
• Collaborate with international customers, end users and support team
