McGregor Boyall are partnering with a premier London hedge fund enhancing functionality on their OMS platform.

In this role, the successful applicant will be implementing real-time trade execution flows, developing robust message handling patterns, and optimising performance-critical systems where microseconds matter.

The tech stack combines C# with React/TypeScript frontends (backend focus on this hire), message-oriented middleware for streaming market data, and both SQL Server and Redis for different persistence needs. You'll work within modern DevOps practices using containerization and CI/CD pipelines.

Beyond coding, you'd collaborate directly with portfolio managers and traders to solve complex problems at the intersection of technology and financial markets.

Required skills:

- Excellent C# programming ability

- Must have extensive experience working on an OMS or related/ similar platforms (EMS, PMS, booking, processing etc)

- FIX experience essential

- Extensive experience with a top financial services institution (hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank)

Nice to have:

- Strong educational background - postgrad and/ or attendance to a top ranking university for Comp Sci
