Job summary

Spotify is looking for a Desktop C++ Engineer to maintain and evolve the Desktop app across macOS and Windows. You will build native container features enabling UI teams to create new experiences and expand platform capabilities.

Join a distributed group working on backend services, release tooling, and OS integrations, while collaborating with external partners such as Microsoft to push the platform forward.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ development skills in production software with a large user base.
• Experience navigating complex, multi-language codebases and systems.
• Able to take ownership of systems and drive continuous improvement.
• Curious and eager to learn new technologies and areas of the codebase.
• Strong collaboration across distributed teams and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Spotify's Desktop C++ application across macOS and Windows.
• Develop native container capabilities for UI teams to build new experiences.
• Improve platform systems, CI configurations, build pipelines, packaging and delivery.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting content delivery and release tooling.
• Build OS integrations connecting Spotify with partner platforms.
• Collaborate with external partners to leverage latest platform capabilities.
• Explore AI agent integrations within the Desktop experience.
• Work with a distributed team to solve cross-system technical challenges.
