New C / C++ Software Engineer - Linux Server job available in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Cambridge based office (hybrid working)
25 days + bank holidays, flexible working pattern
C / C++ (17 or later), Linux Server development, PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Apache
Visa sponsorship available if required.

A leading and expanding wireless communications business based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire are seeking a senior level C / C++ Software Engineer to support the continuous development and maintenance of Linux server applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Apache. Optimising and customising Linux environments, leveraging the Yocto build system. You will play a key role in software coding for new R&D wireless products.

Skills and experience required:

Good experience in Linux server development.
Strong programming skills in C and C++ (C++17 and later).
Experience with database design and implementation.
Knowledge of Linux customisation and networking protocols.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with Asterisk and related protocols (SIP, RTP, RCTP, WebRTC).
SSL and certificate management.
Docker, embedded software development, and mobile app development (Android/iOS).
Familiarity with test-driven development, JIRA, and Git.
