Job summary

CBK Workspace Solutions LTD is recruiting an Apprentice Reactive Maintenance Operative to join the team and develop a career in building maintenance and facilities services. You will work with experienced maintenance operatives on real jobs and complete hands-on training.

The apprenticeship includes college-based instruction at London South East Colleges, with a Property maintenance operative (level 2) course. Normal hours are 4 days per week (24 hours).

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with college study.
• At least 20% of working hours will be spent training or studying.
• Hours: 24 hours per week across 4 days, 8:00–16:00.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced operatives with reactive maintenance and repair works
• Attend properties and commercial premises to assist with maintenance issues
• Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks under supervision
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving maintenance problems
• Learn and follow safe working practices and company procedures
• Assist with planned and reactive maintenance tasks
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Complete job sheets and basic maintenance records; communicate professionally with customers, clients and colleagues
• Follow all relevant health and safety requirements

Annual wage: £15,600 a year

Work

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
