The Buying Manager reports to our Director of Buying Mini to set and drive divisional strategy, working across all departments. They maintain a high-level overview to ensure key KPIs, sales and margin are achieved.

  • Constantly improve ranges and drive sales and profit
  • Understand our brand and our customer in all our trading regions
  • Use information from customer insight and market research to improve the ranges
  • Understand the economic landscape and take appropriate action
  • Understand social and fashion trends and take appropriate action
  • Identify range opportunities and address with speed
  • Critique and constantly improve processes

Range Building

  • Execute innovative product strategy to deliver sales growth across all markets
  • Strategically identify opportunities for current season and future
  • Capitalize on opportunities with speed
  • Drive collaborative working across Design, Merchandising, Technical & Sourcing counterparts

Trading

  • Capitalize on opportunities to grow sales strategically
  • Identify trade opportunities and move with speed to make these a reality
  • Chase and mitigate risk where required

Supply Base

  • Deliver agile supply base which responds to the needs of the business
  • Deliver intake margin strategy seasonally
  • Mitigate risks to profit
  • Drive sourcing strategy
  • Be aware of global supply opportunities and global economic issues
  • Create a dynamic, motivated, and high performing team
