Job description

The company specialise specifically within the Retail and FMCG sector, working with some of the biggest industry leading brands, supplying goods to customers across the UK, bringing to market product categories that range from Crisps and Snacks, Household Goods and Toiletries to Groceries, Pet Care and Beer, Wines and Spirits.

Due to expansion they are now looking to add a Buying Assistant. Essentially this role will be administrative support for all the buyers on the team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress into a buying role in a business that can offer long term career progression.

Buying Assistant Job Overview

Role Overview

  • Support the efficient running of the buying team by setting up and maintaining up to date product information in the system
  • Update and maintain Supplier cost prices in the system
  • Update and maintain Supplier information in the system (MOQ, lead time, contacts, Invoice Price List)
  • Ensure excellent execution of products on the website (no missing images, customer friendly products descriptions, no missing information)
  • Setting up and maintaining products on our ERP system
  • Ensuring master data from suppliers is accurate & up to date in the system
  • Maintaining price files in the system
Buying Assistant Job Requirements
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Business Central wouldn't be essential but is desirable)
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Strong numerical skills & ability to analyse data
  • Ability to multi-task at pace
  • FMCG experience would be desirable but not a must
