Job description

An exciting start-up in the retail/drinks/alcoholic beverages sector is looking for a commercially sharp Buying and Partnerships Manager to lead their buying strategy and build powerful partnerships across the luxury drinks/wine and spirits industry. You'll shape and grow product ranges across both retail and ecommerce, balancing commercial performance with range curation, customer insight, and emerging market trends. You'll be a category thinker, deal closer, and a relationship builder. You’ll deliver clear joint business plans with partners, and keep both short-term trading and long-term growth top of mind.

This role is paying £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience and is based in the company’s central London offices 4 days a week with 1 day working from home. This company is in a period of growth, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join them in a role crucial to their ongoing development.

Ideally you’ll have 5+ years in buying, category management, or commercial roles in the wine & spirits industry or luxury FMCG space, and a proven track record in supplier negotiations, joint business plans, and sourcing premium products. To be successful in the role you’ll need a deep understanding of both UK and global alcohol markets and trends. If you have start-up or fast-growth business exposure that would be preferred. Having some existing supplier/brand relationships would be highly advantageous.
