Job summary

Ionic Recruitment is seeking an experienced Buyer for a permanent role based in Warrington. The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering buying background and experience procuring materials and services within the construction sector.

You will procure materials, plant and services for civil engineering projects, source suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery in line with project programmes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Buyer within civil engineering is essential.
• Strong knowledge of civils materials, suppliers and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines.
