Job Title: Buyer

Our client, a global manufacturing business based in Marden, is currently looking to recruit a Buyer. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Interpreting the company's requirement plan and generating or amending order cover as appropriate.
2. Progressing purchase orders to facilitate on-time delivery to customers.
3. Analyzing buying patterns, predicting future trends, managing stock levels, and reacting to changes in demand and logistics.
4. Meeting and assessing suppliers regarding their suitability, processes, capacity, and quality; negotiating contract terms, including site visits and audits as required.
5. Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and taking ownership of quality issues or complaints.
6. Securing long-term cost agreements with local, national, and international suppliers, and identifying new opportunities to meet prototype, production build, and cost requirements.
7. Reviewing all purchase and supply agreements regularly to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and maintained quality.
8. Maintaining and managing electronic and manual systems with a high level of accuracy.
9. Recording and reporting performance data for vendors and managing supplier relationships.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy.
