Overview

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Buyer / Purchaser to join their well-established team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their career with a hugely successful business.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best possible price for parts and materials
  • Sourcing new and alternative suppliers for parts and materials
  • Attend weekly meetings and provide updates regarding procurement issues
  • Manage and monitor stock levels ensuring required quantities of parts are readily available
  • Develop and maintain supplier database
  • Liaise with different departments across the business regarding their procurement needs
  • Chase up with suppliers and haulage companies on any late deliveries
  • Produce procurement reports for senior management
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Good communicator and positive can-do attitude
  • Experience in working with an MRP system
