As our new Buyer / Procurement Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and managing procurement across all departments - taking the reins on everything from packaging and materials to energy contracts and new product sourcing. This is not just a reactive purchasing role - it's a proactive, commercially minded position where your input really matters.

The Role

• Lead and support purchasing activity across all categories, including packaging, raw materials, services, and more
• Build and maintain positive supplier relationships, identifying opportunities to improve value and service
• Take ownership of purchase orders, contract terms and supplier communications
• Help formalise our supplier framework and introduce efficiencies through process improvement
• Support new product development by sourcing and onboarding suppliers
• Monitor spend, track performance, and report on procurement metrics to support informed business decisions
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Production, Quality and Finance to align purchasing strategy with operational needs
  
  

About You

You'll be confident, commercially aware and ready to take ownership of this new role. Whether you're an experienced Procurement Specialist looking for more autonomy or a Buyer ready to enjoy a shorter week and long-term stability, you'll bring a blend of initiative and practical experience.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience in purchasing, buying or procurement – with experience in purchasing a wide range of goods and materials
• Is comfortable managing multiple suppliers and products across a varied portfolio
• Can negotiate effectively and analyse pricing and contracts
• Has strong Excel and organisational skills
• Can work autonomously while building relationships across the business
• Is confident representing Glowcroft in supplier communications
