Job summary

Brightwork’s client is recruiting an Engineering Materials Buyer based in Runcorn. The role is ideal for a decisive, organised buyer with strong sourcing and supply experience across engineering materials and reports to the Area Manager for Scotland.

The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure accurate information flow from supplier to end user.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in associated discipline.
• Ability to partner with Stores Personnel.
• Analytical problem solving.
• Considerable Organisation skill.
• Knowledge of engineering parts.

Responsibilities

• Supplier negotiation and placement of purchase orders
• To expedite and ensure on time delivery
• Provide complete and concise information flow from supplier through to end user
• Resolve and manage supply discrepancies
• Assist and support Area Manager as well as other administrative tasks when required
• Deliver best value for money
• Run the MRP program
