We are now looking to hire a Buyer Planner to join our Supply Chain team in supporting within Instruments. The role requires someone to strategically manage the supply and demand of the instrument sets and order book and partner with internal teams to ensure that clear communication and expectations are set to allow the business to meet deadlines and requirements of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute procurement of materials for the instrument sets and orderbook.
  • Plan and execute a monthly plan for the manufacture of instruments to forecast.
  • Maintain strong working relationships and communications with the instrument refurbishment team, manufacturing, and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules.
  • Monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Proactively report product and material availability issues to ensure a solution can be found or that expectations are managed.
  • Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials and components in conjunction with our program management teams.
  • Analyse and manage MRP, Source list, Material master/parameters.
  • Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters & all rework requirements.
  • Maintain purchase order status Supplier Management.
  • Complete special supply chain projects and assignments as requested.
Qualifications
  • The ideal Supply Chain Planner / Buyer - Instruments will have / be:
  • Experience in working within a Buyer Planner role for a manufacturing organisation.
  • Highly organised and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Qualified in CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or working towards would be ideal.
  • Project management experience would be advantageous.
  • Sage systems experience ideally.
  • Comfortable and adaptable in a growing and change environment.
  • Proactive and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organisation and communication skills.
