The ideal profile combines strategic sourcing experience, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in the procurement field.
Are you an experienced Procurement Professional looking for an opportunity to implement best-practice into a thriving business with a clear vision for further growth?
We have the pleasure of supporting a global manufacturing business in their search for a Buyer to really drive procurement best practice through the site. This role is a key part of their growth strategy and would give you the opportunity to really shape the procurement processes and strategy within the business for both direct and indirect commodities.
As the Buyer, you will be getting involved in:
What will you need?
You will ideally be CIPS Qualified (but this is not essential) with experience in strategic sourcing and supplier selection processes, gained from within manufacturing setting. You will have strong experience and understanding of implementing procurement best practices.
You will be a natural influencer and be able to build strong networks and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and have a successful track record in managing procurement projects and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
You might be a Procurement or Purchasing Manager already but looking to move away from managing people, or you might also already be in a strategic purchasing role but want the opportunity to work autonomously and be the key procurement professional within a business as in this role you would be responsible for the management of the Procurement function rather than a procurement team. You could be a high-achieving Buyer/Purchasing Assistant looking for that right opportunity to step up into a role with more responsibility
You will have strong negotiation skills and be a naturally driven person who will be motivated to identify areas for cost-down improvement and go out there and see that project through.
