An established industry player is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their team on a temporary basis for maternity cover. This role involves providing essential buying services to project teams, ensuring effective procurement of sub-trades and materials while supporting the Regional Procurement Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial awareness, intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, and familiarity with COINS software. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to join our team on a temporary basis for maternity cover. This role is based within Lovell’s East Anglia region, at our Norwich office.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing buying services to Project Teams on one or more projects as allocated by the Regional Procurement Manager.
You will ensure procurement of sub-trades and materials in accordance with an agreed programme and within buying allowances. You will support the Regional Procurement Manager in achieving best value buying solutions and placing risk-averse, robust packages.
We are seeking an experienced Buyer with a proven track record of managing procurement workloads across multiple planned maintenance programmes. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, and ideally experience using COINS software. A good understanding of Health & Safety and knowledge of marketplace levels are also essential.
