The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Home department on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
It’s a diverse role, partnering with big industry brands, negotiating, strategizing and securing the best product offers for key moments in the calendar and strong continuity ranges. This role will collaborate across functions to communicate the product strategy to enable strong product execution across our platforms by our execution teams. Reporting to Buying Manager, with a team including a Junior Buyer and an Assistant Buyer, you will take ownership of the Home Appliances and Homewares categories

You will work in a hybrid capacity, based both in the office and also working from home on certain days during the week.

Your Impact

• You will have relevant buying experience within Household Appliances and Homewares products partnering with leading industry brands as well as developing a proprietary range, within a retail head office environment.
  
• You'll have experience partnering with global brands, distribution centers, suppliers and factories, negotiating contracts, prices and lead-times.
  
• You will demonstrate an understanding of the main areas of the buying role, including building our strategies, margins, profit, sales, inventory management and OTB.
  
• You will be asked to demonstrate commerciality and trend awareness.
  
• You will have a successful track record in buying, demonstrating a passion for the product, combined with skills as a merchant.
