Our multi-national FMCG client uses promotional items within marketing and trade marketing functions to support trade relationships and engage consumers.

Promotional items are branded and include categories such as outdoor furniture, glassware, and gifts/gadgets.

Role: Buyer, Global Procurement – Promotional Items

The responsibilities include:

  1. Executing sector strategy for Promotional Items spend in Europe, including Russia and Turkey
  2. Leading sourcing programs to achieve cost, control, quality, and innovation benefits through RFIs, tenders, and process optimization
  3. Building sustainable supplier relationships and managing contracts
  4. Conducting spend analysis
  5. Collaborating with regional European procurement teams and external sources to optimize category management
Skills and Experience:
  • Preferably degree educated
  • Experience in marketing categories, procurement, and client-side FMCG or consumer health sectors
  • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationship building and communication
  • Ability to work within complex, changing matrix organizations
  • Proficiency in remote communication tools (e.g., Webex, telepresence)
  • Energetic and results-driven
  • Analytical mindset with good IT skills; SAP experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel within Europe
