Opportunity: Buyer - Footwear

A great opportunity to join a leading fashion retail business in their Leeds Office. With over 40 years of trading, the company is a multi-channel retailer selling via stores, ecommerce, wholesale, etc. Due to strong trading figures, they are seeking to add key members to their buying team.

Job Description
  1. Deliver a footwear collection from sourcing to developing the end-to-end lifecycle until it reaches stores.
  2. Manage and oversee all categories across all seasons.
  3. Work closely with the design team to develop individual lines, focusing on bestselling constructions and seasonal move-ons, ensuring brand DNA and vision are reflected.
  4. Ensure all products align with the brand's price architecture and are competitive.
  5. Plan each product within categories in collaboration with merchandising, considering promotional, full-price, and sale buys, and achieve seasonal BIM targets.
  6. Manage the supply base to source from factories that leverage their strengths, ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster win-win outcomes.
  8. Identify trends and manage newness each season, utilizing short lead-time supply bases for testers and innovation.
  9. Coordinate with the design team to ensure development aligns with product and price architecture plans.
  10. Negotiate effectively to maximize profits and influence suppliers for mutually beneficial results.
  11. Collaborate with Tech team to conduct fit sessions, providing commercial insights and understanding impacts on CP.
  12. Manage the critical path from start to finish, ensuring all teams meet key deadlines through collaboration.
  13. Drive quality control and fit processes, making decisions aligned with the critical path.
  14. Develop a high-performing team, fostering teamwork and achieving excellent results.
