A great opportunity to join a leading fashion retail business in their Leeds Office. With over 40 years of trading, the company is a multi-channel retailer selling via stores, ecommerce, wholesale, etc. Due to strong trading figures, they are seeking to add key members to their buying team.
Job Description
- Deliver a footwear collection from sourcing to developing the end-to-end lifecycle until it reaches stores.
- Manage and oversee all categories across all seasons.
- Work closely with the design team to develop individual lines, focusing on bestselling constructions and seasonal move-ons, ensuring brand DNA and vision are reflected.
- Ensure all products align with the brand's price architecture and are competitive.
- Plan each product within categories in collaboration with merchandising, considering promotional, full-price, and sale buys, and achieve seasonal BIM targets.
- Manage the supply base to source from factories that leverage their strengths, ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster win-win outcomes.
- Identify trends and manage newness each season, utilizing short lead-time supply bases for testers and innovation.
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure development aligns with product and price architecture plans.
- Negotiate effectively to maximize profits and influence suppliers for mutually beneficial results.
- Collaborate with Tech team to conduct fit sessions, providing commercial insights and understanding impacts on CP.
- Manage the critical path from start to finish, ensuring all teams meet key deadlines through collaboration.
- Drive quality control and fit processes, making decisions aligned with the critical path.
- Develop a high-performing team, fostering teamwork and achieving excellent results.
