Taylor Wimpey is seeking a proactive Planning & Procurement professional to ensure material availability for TW BU orders while keeping stock within agreed limits. You will work with the Planning Manager and suppliers to maintain robust demand plans and support continuous improvement in inventory processes.

The role requires housebuilding experience, autonomy, and proficiency with Excel and Sage X3/COINS. This is a hands-on position focused on delivering reliable supply and operational

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Sage X3/COINs.

Responsibilities

• Work with Planning Manager and suppliers to ensure robust demand plans.
• Analyse forecast, identify risks and opportunities, EscALe issues as needed.
• Identify root causes for demand errors and support BU’s to address them.
• Raise POs to secure stock for known demand and short lead orders.
• Support stock team improvements in processes and systems.
• Train new starters and share best practices across departments.
• Assist with identifying obsolete stock and distributing KPI reports.
• Collaborate with CI Manager to streamline stock availability.

Job Summary

Working alongside other Departments and the Group Procurement Team to ensure the product is available for Taylor Wimpey Business Units (TW BU) orders in a timely manner, whilst keeping inventory levels within agreed limits.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Planning Manager, Procurement Team and suppliers to ensure the demand plan is robust and contains the most up-to-date business information.
• Analysing the forecast and identifying risks and opportunities within the business, making challenges and proposing changes; able to efficiently escal[e] issues.
• Identifying root causes for demand errors and supporting BU’s to address them.
• Raise PO’s to ensure stock is available to cover known customer demand and contingent stock for short lead orders (loose supply).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for the stock team, inventory management process and systems to develop efficiencies and support future growth.
• Train new starters the process (upstream and downstream), share best practices and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
• Assist the Planning Manager with identifying and managing obsolete stock.
• Updating and distributing KPI reports.
• Work collaboratively with the Planning Manager and CI Manager to help streamline processes to improve stock availability.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

• Previous experience in the Housebuilding industry
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Sage X3/COINs
• Experience in SIOP/materials planning.
