Job summary

Prodrive is seeking a Buyer to independently manage supplier packages within OEM programmes in the United Kingdom. You will balance commercial judgement with delivery discipline, coordinating with suppliers on pricing, lead times and build commitments.

The role requires degree-level education or technical qualification, plus experience in automotive purchasing and ERP systems. Onsite environment with a range of employee benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience using ERP or purchasing systems; able to work in a process-controlled, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned sourcing and supply management packages within programmes.
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, capacity and delivery commitments.
• Track parts and assemblies through to receipt and resolve delays or issues.
• Ensure components meet specification, documentation and quality expectations.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data including price, lead time, tooling, MOQ and commitments.
• Resolve invoice queries by reconciling PO, delivery and supplier documentation.
• Apply sound judgement balancing cost, delivery and programme risk.
• Track components through the full lifecycle from sourcing to build and programme close.

You will have experience in a purchasing role within automotive, manufacturing and Tier-1 environments, and be comfortable working to customer and programme requirements.
