Responsibilities of the Buyer:

• Manage materials procurement for allocated projects, balancing cost, quality, and availability to ensure the best value.
• Provide an effective procurement capability to the production facility.
• Update order availability in the ERP system.
• Be a central point of contact for manufacturing and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and cost.
• Mitigate supply chain risk through identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers, whilst identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Buyer within the construction sector.
• Knowledge of materials such as concrete, aggregates, rebar, and steel.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
