Job summary

Essity in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Buyer to manage procurement of goods and services across multiple locations. You will drive efficient purchasing, lead sourcing activities, negotiate with suppliers and align with the procurement strategy to improve value and risk management.

You will work with stakeholders to understand requirements, implement strategies and ensure compliance with Essity policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing data, including contracts, catalogues and source lists.
• Use S4 and Ariba to execute sourcing activities and support efficient buying processes.

• Share best practice across Procurement and identify opportunities to improve systems and ways of working.We're looking for an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and fresh thinking to join our UK Procurement Operations team., Extensive experience: gained within industrial procurement, preferably within manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, engineering or another technically demanding environment.
• Commercial capability: Strong experience in competitive sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management and managing commercial risk. Exposure to engineering services, maintenance or Capex would be particularly valuable.
• Stakeholder management: Confident and credible when dealing with operational stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and manage competing priorities.
• Organisation and autonomy: Highly structured, proactive and comfortable managing complex workloads with limited supervision.
• Process improvement: Experience of working within established procurement systems and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, governance, and ways of working.
• Team fit: Collaborative, willing to share expertise and capable of bringing new ideas and higher standards to an established team.
