AMETEK MRO, a unit of AMETEK Aerospace & Defense, is a global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional, and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter, and business jet markets.

In 2007, AEM Limited was acquired by AMETEK Inc, as a unit within AMETEK MRO’s Aerospace and Defense Division. AEM Limited has been Europe's leading independent overhaul and repair facility for more than 60 years. The company has a solid reputation in the aerospace industry for providing a broad range of services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers. Conducting business from three sites in the United Kingdom, AEM offers specialist services for over 5,000 components across various aircraft systems, including windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear, and safety equipment.

Role & Responsibilities
  1. Identify opportunities to reduce commodity costs through centralized purchasing, leveraging spend across the three sites and the wider AMETEK group. Record cost reduction activities for management review.
  2. Monitor and process open purchase orders.
  3. Follow up on stock outages and review demand to adjust min/max inventory levels as needed.
  4. Maintain excellent supplier relationships and update contact records in the supplier database.
  5. Source spare parts from the open inventory market, including higher assemblies for parts teardown, ensuring stock availability in compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  6. Process internal purchase requisitions and procure non-stock products using the AMETEK Ivalua E-procurement system.
  7. Review weekly Aeromedic inventory reports and purchase pharmaceutical products for the Aeromedical Business Unit.
  8. Resolve delivery, quality, and invoice issues.
  9. Arrange supplier product returns and document quality/delivery issues for supplier KPI assessments.
  10. Assist engineering with costing spares, tooling, and consumables for projects.
  11. Participate in daily Tier meetings, providing accurate product information to support business units.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience in purchasing technical products and services supporting engineering operations.
  • Experience with MRP purchasing and stock management systems.
  • Procurement experience within engineering, manufacturing, or technical fields, with supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, capable of analyzing large data sets for reports and insights.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
