What are we recruiting for?
We’re seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy
Buyer to join our team and play a central role in product curation, supplier management, pricing strategy, and inventory accuracy. You’ll be responsible for expanding and maintaining our product ranges, working closely with external partners, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure we deliver the right products at the right price to our design-conscious customers.
What will you be doing?
Product Management
Review and select new products from our existing supplier base, oversee product listing creation with external partners, regularly monitor sales performance and take action on underperforming lines, ensure the product range is current by managing discontinued items.
Pricing & Margin Management
Maintain accurate pricing and healthy margins, plan and execute promotional activity, negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
Inventory Management
Ensure accurate stock feeds and availability from suppliers, monitor stock levels and resolve discrepancies.
Supplier Relationship Management
Build strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers through regular communication and performance reviews, ensure supplier engagement and alignment with business goals.
Supplier Onboarding & Trend Sourcing
Identify and onboard new suppliers that align with Olivia’s brand, attend trade shows and events to discover trends and new opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with trading and marketing teams to communicate product/brand launches and promotions.
What will you bring to the party?
- 2+ years experience in a retail buying or product merchandising role (homeware/furniture preferred).
- Strong commercial awareness with a passion for design and trends.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident using data to inform decisions (sales, margins, inventory).
- Confident using excel.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems is a plus (Shopify preferred).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
