Are you an experienced Buyer looking for an opportunity to implement best-practice into a thriving business with a clear vision for further growth?

We have the pleasure of supporting a global manufacturing business in their search for a Buyer to really drive procurement best practice through the site. This role is a key part of their developing Purchasing strategy and would give you the opportunity to really shape the procurement processes and strategy within the business for both direct and indirect commodities.

As the Buyer, you will be getting involved in:

• Strategic sourcing for all production and non-production commodities
• Ensuring all suppliers are armed with forecasts to enhance on-time delivery performance
• Utilising market data and indices to drive decisions
• Digging deep to understand supplier capacity, accreditations and ensuring all due diligence is carried out
• Collaborating with international internal counterparts to share knowledge
• Managing the supplier approval and onboarding processes
• Agreeing all contractual terms and ensuring proposals for new suppliers are well-researched and meet all manufacturing requirements


What we’re looking for:
• Experience in procurement / Buyer / Purchasing within a manufacturing setting
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ideally CIPS qualified (though not essential)
• A proactive, strategic thinker who enjoys autonomy and responsibility
• You might be a seasoned Buyer ready to step up, or a Procurement Manager seeking more strategic focus without people management
