Are you a procurement professional with a passion for efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement? Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Fife, is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic supply chain team.

About the Role:

As a key player in the procurement function, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services essential to manufacturing operations. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimise supply chain processes, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Translating MRP output into actionable purchase orders, considering lead times and inventory targets.
  2. Proactively managing supplier delivery performance through effective expediting and communication.
  3. Identifying, assessing, and escalating material shortage risks to ensure smooth production flow.
  4. Maintaining accuracy of ERP data.
  5. Monitoring deliveries to ensure adherence to schedules and preventing early shipments.
  6. Driving inventory optimisation reducing excess, obsolescence, and working towards defined targets.
  7. Leading or supporting improvement projects to drive supply chain performance and agility.

  1. Proven experience in a procurement role within a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge.
