Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established construction business to recruit an experienced Buyer to join its procurement team in Rotherham.

You’ll take ownership of purchasing across materials, plant and subcontracted services, working closely with project managers, site teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role suits a procurement professional with construction industry experience.

Qualifications

• Previous buying/procurement experience within construction, civil engineering or the built environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to deliver cost savings.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, plant and subcontractor markets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• CIPS qualification, or working towards it, would be advantageous but isn't essential.
