We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our client - a national retail company at their busy Head Office in Plymouth!

Working closely with the Head of Buying, you will develop relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst ensuring maximum value and efficiency for the business.

Job Details of the Buyer:

• Salary is competitive depending on experience.
• This is a permanent position.
• Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 5:30pm
• Pension scheme

Responsibilities of the Buyer:

• You will have primary accountability for maximizing sales, margin, and profitability.
• You will lead a team building long-term supplier relationships to deliver a successful product offer.
• You will have ultimate responsibility for the implementation of the product strategy and ensuring that the business meets customer needs.
• You will monitor and review competitor information to ensure your product offering stays relevant in a changing market.
• You will play a lead role in reviews, supplier negotiations, promotions, and pricing.
• You will work with your cross-functional team to ensure they deliver great product availability and quality.
