A public service organization in Northallerton seeks a Buyer to lead procurement projects across multiple emergency services. You will manage category spend, develop commercial strategies, and ensure compliance with procurement legislation. Ideal candidates will have CIPS Level 5/6 or equivalent experience and a passion for public service, delivering value to communities.

Join our trusted, forward-thinking Procurement Team, delivering high-quality commercial support across North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service and the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority for Policing, Fire and Crime Directorate.
As a Buyer, you will lead category-level procurement across multiple emergency services. You will take ownership of strategic spend areas, ensuring contracts and purchasing deliver value and meet operational priorities.
This is a key role in shaping our procurement approach while supporting service delivery.
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week (Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 5pm, Friday: 8.30am – 4.30pm)
