Job summary

Sunblink in Suffolk is seeking an experienced Buyer to join a major infrastructure project, supporting procurement for construction and ground engineering works. You will manage sourcing, RFIs, RFQs and tenders, appoint and manage suppliers, and build strong supplier relationships while delivering value.

This role requires full procurement lifecycle experience, strong commercial awareness, and excellent stakeholder management; SAP or Jaggaer experience and a CIPS qualification would be

Qualifications

• Experience across full procurement lifecycle including sourcing, tendering and supplier management.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to review quotations and costs.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, solution-focused approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in construction, civils or infrastructure would be advantageous.
• Experience with procurement systems such as SAP or Jaggaer would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full procurement process from sourcing and tendering through to supplier appointment and management.
• Researching the market and sourcing suitable suppliers.

Salary: Up to £37,000

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join a major infrastructure project in Suffolk, supporting the delivery of complex construction and ground engineering works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to take responsibility for end-to-end purchasing, working closely with project, technical and operational teams to secure materials, equipment and services while delivering value and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

The Role
