Contract Type: 12-month FTC / Secondment
Grade: RCS L
Hybrid working (2 days working from home).

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Procurement Buyer to play a vital role in further developing & delivering on our procurement strategy and delivering an end-to-end procurement service.

We are looking for someone to deliver strategy and direction as part of a Procurement team. You will be part of a team that drives transformation change in order to achieve our strategic objectives and deliver an agile, customer-focused procurement solution. You will need to be passionate with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Develop, own and deploy the Procurement Strategy across managed procurement, keeping up to date with market trends and innovation
• Develop a commercially astute and customer-focused procurement team with a can-do mindset.
• Overall ownership for contract negotiation with suppliers, ensuring we have an innovative and high-performing supplier base. Management of our product development and compliance teams.
• Ensuring we're developing first-class products to meet the needs of our customers, ensuring sustainability is at the heart of our product development processes
• Ownership of the procurement strategy and its results - delivering successful sourcing processes, value for money and ultimately customer satisfaction.
• To identify and recommend to the Senior Procurement Manager/Head of Procurement and Carrier Management reliable and cost-effective services for the JLR contract for the European transport activity through the development of strategic partnerships, negotiation, benchmark activities and ongoing carrier research
