Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking a Buyer for an international retailer in the Manchester area. This hybrid role focuses on owning the Womenswear category, trading daily, and collaborating with Design, Merchandising and suppliers to deliver trend-led, commercially successful ranges.

You will analyse sales data, manage the critical path, negotiate costs, and mentor junior team members in a fast-paced fashion environment, with occasional travel to build supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buyer or Junior Buyer in fashion retail.
• Strong commercial awareness with a trend-led mindset.
• Analytical with ability to interpret sales data in Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and trade commercially successful product ranges.
• Work closely with Design and Merchandising to build balanced, profitable collections.

As a Buyer, you'll take ownership of your category, working closely with Design, Merchandising and suppliers to deliver trend-led, commercially successful ranges. You'll trade your department daily, react quickly to customer demand and play a key role in driving sales, margin and profitability.

• Confident trading a department and making commercial decisions.
• Analytical, with strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within an e-commerce or test-and-repeat retail model is advantageous.
