Job summary

Zachary Daniels is seeking a Senior Buyer for Womenswear Dresses and Tops to drive daywear ranges across ecommerce and retail. You will own the category, work with Design, Merchandising and suppliers, trade daily, and react quickly to customer demand to boost sales, margins and profitability.

This role requires strong commercial awareness, trend-led thinking, excellent Excel skills and the ability to manage stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Womenswear Buyer in fashion retail with day dresses & tops.
• Strong commercial awareness with a trend-led approach.
• Confident trading a department and making commercial decisions.
• Analytical with strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within an ecommerce or test-and-repeat retail model is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and trade commercially successful product ranges.
• Work closely with Design and Merchandising to build balanced, profitable collections.
• Analyse sales and market trends to identify opportunities and manage risk.
• Source and develop products with suppliers while negotiating costs and improving margins.
• Manage the critical path to ensure products launch on time.
• Carry out competitor analysis and identify gaps within the range.
• Build strong supplier relationships and travel where required.
• Support and mentor junior members of the Buying team.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and drive business growth.
