Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus procurement experience or relevant experience without a degree.
  • APICS/MCIPS or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing raw materials or machined parts is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate subcontractors based on capability, quality, and cost.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Place purchase orders in compliance with company policies.

About the Role

As a Buyer at NOV, you will play a vital role within our dynamic Pumps Procurement team. This position is essential in ensuring the efficiency of our supply chain, contributing directly to our world-class operations in energy and industrial solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, from issuing RFQs to managing vendor performance and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate subcontractors based on capability, quality, and cost
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules

  • Lead or assist in contract negotiations with procurement leadership
  • Leverage data to drive informed procurement decisions and improve outcomes

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree plus procurement experience OR relevant experience without a degree
