Buyer – Procurement

About the Role

A fantastic opportunity for a commercially savvy and forward-thinking Buyer to join a central procurement function within a global group of fast-moving, technology-driven companies.

This role is not your typical procurement post. You’ll work across multiple spend categories – from IT and electronic components to materials and facilities – in a highly collaborative and decentralised environment. Instead of mandating processes, you’ll influence operational companies to drive procurement excellence, digital adoption, and innovation.

This is ideal for someone with a blend of analytical skills, curiosity, and the confidence to modernise procurement in a group that values autonomy and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing across direct and indirect categories (IT, consumables, materials, etc.).
Lead and support automation initiatives and AI tool adoption (e.g. Microsoft Copilot).
Manage and support major group contracts, ensuring supplier performance and value delivery.
Engage stakeholders across operating companies, encouraging alignment with group deals.
Deliver market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies and innovation efforts.

What We're Looking For

Experience in buying, procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles.
Analytical mindset with a drive for process improvement and digital transformation.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to influence without direct authority.
Proactive self-starter who thrives in a non-hierarchical, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with eProcurement tools, contract systems, or automation platforms is a plus.
