The Buyer job itself entails supporting the senior buyer on an impactful construction project, with a specific focus on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) procurement. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that all materials and services are sourced optimally, contributing to the project's success while honing your skills in a fast-paced environment.More specifically:
NB This role is required for a fixed term period up to February 2027, in line with the duration of the project, however has the potential to go permanent depending on further work winning activities in the region. We can offer some hybrid working, with a minimum of 3 days on site, and we can also consider candidates interested in working away from home.
To be successful as a Buyer, you will have proven experience in a procurement role, particularly within the construction sector. Your background should ideally include M&E/MEP procurement, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively will set you apart.
PS Knowledge of local market conditions and the willingness to engage in travel and on-site work will also enhance your suitability for this role.
